About Us
ShortieCuts makes Google Sheets, Slides and Docs work the way Excel, PowerPoint and Word users expect.
Plenty of people learn spreadsheets in Excel (often in banking, consulting or finance) and then join a team that runs on Google Sheets. The muscle memory doesn't transfer: Alt key sequences do nothing, there's no Trace Precedents, no Goal Seek, and freezing panes takes a trip to the menu.
ShortieCuts is a Chrome extension that closes that gap. Press Alt (Option on Mac) in Google Sheets and Excel-style key-tips appear, so the sequences you already know, like AltHOI, do what you expect. It also adds the Excel tools Sheets is missing: Trace Precedents and Dependents, Goal Seek, Excel-style Ctrl shortcuts and TTS macro-style formatting. The same Alt key-tips also work in Google Slides and Google Docs, with the PowerPoint and Word sequences you already know.
Shortcuts run in your browser. We never read or store the content of your spreadsheets, slides or documents. We keep only your account email (for your subscription) and counts of which ShortieCuts shortcuts you use.
