What Alt + N + S + L Does in Excel

Adds a tiny in-cell line chart that summarizes a row or column of numbers.

How to Use Alt + N + S + L in Google Sheets

  1. Add the ShortieCuts extension to Chrome and open any Google Sheet.
  2. Select the cells you want to work on (if the command needs a selection).
  3. Press Alt (or Option on Mac). Excel-style key-tips appear over the sheet.
  4. Press N, S, then L. ShortieCuts runs Line Sparkline, just like Excel.

Google Sheets builds sparklines with the SPARKLINE function, so ShortieCuts types a starter =SPARKLINE() formula into the cell for you to point at your data.

Without an extension: Google Sheets doesn't support Excel's Alt key-tips, so Alt + N + S + L won't run Line Sparkline on its own.
