FAQ

Is there a keyboard shortcut to crop an image in Google Slides?

Not exactly. Google's keyboard shortcut list for Google Slides has no shortcut to crop an image. It does list Exit crop mode (Enter on Windows and Mac). Click the image, click Crop in the toolbar, and drag the blue squares around the border. Press Enter or click anywhere else when you're done. With the ShortieCuts extension, you can also press Alt (Option on Mac), then J, then P, then C.

Does Alt + J + P + C work in Google Slides?

Not on its own. Google Slides has no ribbon key-tips, so typing Alt + J + P + C there won't crop an image. With the ShortieCuts Chrome extension installed, press Alt (Option on Mac), then J, then P, then C, and ShortieCuts runs its "Crop Image" command.

How do I crop an image in Google Slides on a Mac?

The steps above work the same way on a Mac. With ShortieCuts, press Option instead of Alt, then J, then P, then C.

Is ShortieCuts free?

ShortieCuts has a free 14-day trial with no credit card needed. After the trial, Pro is $7.99 a month or $69.99 a year.
