How do you start a slideshow in Google Slides?

Press Ctrl + F5 on Windows or ⌘ + Enter on a Mac. Or click Slideshow at the top right, which starts full screen from the current slide. Press Esc to stop. With the ShortieCuts extension, you can also press Alt (Option on Mac), then S C.

In ShortieCuts' key-tip menu: Slide Show › From Current Slide. On a Mac, press Option instead of Alt.

Using the Menus

  1. In the top right, click Slideshow. The presentation goes full screen from the current slide.
  2. Or click View › Slideshow.
  3. Use the arrow keys to move between slides, and press Esc to exit.
