How to Add a New Slide in Google Slides
Short Answer
How do you add a new slide in Google Slides?
Press Ctrl + M (Google lists Ctrl + M on Mac too) to add a slide after the current one, or click New slide (+) at the top left. The new slide uses the same layout as the current slide. With the ShortieCuts extension, you can also press Alt (Option on Mac), then H I.
In ShortieCuts' key-tip menu: Home › New Slide. On a Mac, press Option instead of Alt.

- For a different layout, click the down arrow next to it (New slide with layout) and choose a slide.

- In the panel on the left, click the slide the new one should follow.
